When we re-open we will again provide a fast turn-around mail order service and once payment has been received we will normally return your items within 48hrs (excluding weekends). Payment may be made online by PayPal (preferred), by bank transfer, or alternatively you can send a cheque, though this will need time to clear before your items can be returned.
When sending items to us for sharpening or servicing please:
- Ensure that items are safely and securely packaged.
- Consider using Royal Mail’s “Special Delivery” service. This guarantees next-day delivery before 1pm and also includes up to £500 insurance cover should your items be lost or damaged while in transit.
- Include your name and contact details, plus details of the services required, inside the package.
Once we have received and examined your items we will normally send you a PayPal invoice by email showing the amount payable, including return postage. You can either pay the invoice on-line via PayPal (if you do not have a PayPal account you can still pay online using a debit or credit card) or arrange a funds transfer via your bank (account details will be provided on request). If you choose to pay by cheque we will unfortunately not be able to return your items until the cheque has cleared. Cheques must be made payable to ‘George Poulson’.
We will notify you by email when your items have been despatched and if applicable we will also include Royal Mail tracking information.
We do not ‘mark up’ our postage and packaging – we only charge the Royal Mail postage rate to return your items. To minimise waste and reduce costs we re-cycle packaging whenever possible.
